On June 5, we celebrate the anniversary of the designation of the Diefenbunker as a national historic site of Canada. Built during the Cold War and hidden deep beneath the landscape of Carp, Ontario, the Diefenbunker stands as a powerful symbol of Canada’s determination to endure during a time of global uncertainty. Although never used for its intended purpose, the bunker remains a poignant reminder of one of the most critical periods in modern history.
