@jaketapper For over 900 days Afghan Allies who stood beside use have been left in ##TalibanHell with no sign of relief from it.
The #AfghanAdjustmentAct can fix this
#SameEvilTaliban
It has been 890 days since the #AfghanEvac
888 days since I got the text pulling me into helping #keepourpromise
So many #AfghanAllies still remain stuck in #TalibanHell
So much uncertainty still remains for those we got out...
While no longer preoccupied by fighting Americans, although they do fight with ISKP, it seems the Taliban has shifted their focus to an all out war on women’s freedoms and rights in Afghanistan. Historically, this isn’t new territory for them.
I woke up to this sad news this morning...
My brother A. sent it to me
he didnt say he worries about being next.... But that worry keeps me up every night. sure it does him as well.
Him, his wife, son and 2 year old daughter are the #AfghanAllies left behind in #TalibanHell
Let us also not forget the 170 Afghans who perished 2 years ago today
Who were only trying to escape the #TalibanHell that they knew was coming.
Like passengers on the Titanic flocking to the few lifeboats....
In this day we remember the lives lost in 2021 Kabul airport attack, though two years passed, our hearts have not forgotten nearly 170 Afghans killed these Afghans died seeking safety.
Congress must pass the #AfghanAdjustmentAct for
Afghan allies.
@POTUS
Meanwhile, legislative solutions to address the problem
🙄 like idk the #AfghanAdjustmentAct
Continue to remain in limbo in Congress.
While our #AfghanAllies remain in hiding, trapped in #TalibanHell
Ever fearful, they will be the next victim of the systematic brutality
My latest confirms the numbers of Afghan allies who still struggle 2 years following our withdrawal. Some even shocked me - particularly the figures on Afghans seeking asylum at the border - over 10K in last 9 months.

But #Talibansympathizers would have you believe that Afghanistan is in good hands under the #SameEvilTaliban
AFGHANISTAN = #TalibanHell
Plain and simple
1/2
@rawadari_org’s latest report on access to justice n Afghanistan under the Taliban is based on 141 interviews from 26 provinces of Afghanistan & covers organizational structure of Taliban courts, d collapse of the judicial & legal system & violations of fair trial principles
But here we are over 6 months since that trip.
5 months since the bill failed to get passed in the previous Session
No closer to helping #KeepOurPromise to help the 350,000 #SIV left behind in #TalibanHell
Despite of 70% of #Americans supporting legislation like #passtheAAA
So yeah 637 days since the #AfghanEvac began....
621 days since I got that first call and was told "we are in contact with interpreters on the ground, we need help"
117 days since the new session of #Congress began
And still our #AfghanAllies wait in #TalibanHell
I know that things continue to get more and more desperate for our #AfghanAllies left behind in #TalibanHell
BUT PLEASE do not fall for scams like this
🔥🇦🇫🔥AFGHANS🔥🇦🇫🔥This jackass 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽is still defrauding Afghans with false SIV promises … he puts his scam “offers” on Facebook as comments to BBC Dari and BBC Pashto posts, so BEWARE … do NOT give this fraudster your money or your time …
As things continue to get worse in Afghanistan aka #TalibanHell
so do the messages I get daily with pleas for help
With their pleas, they include photos...
Photos of them with ⭐️⭐️ and ⭐️⭐️⭐️ officers
350k #AfghanAllies left behind
The fix is simple
Pass #AfghanAdjustmentAct
350,000 #AfghanAllies and their families are STILL left behind in #TalibanHell
They fought with us
They sacrificed for us
We promised them "service equals safety"
We must pass the #AfghanAdjustmentAct
#keepourpromise
#Vets4AAA
Yeah the deal was if you stood #ShohnabaShohna, and we would have your back.
But meanwhile, 350,000 interpreters, #AfghanAllies, and their families remain left behind in #TalibanHell
Hopefully with this movie, People realize the #AfghanAdjustmentAct could help #keepthepromise
"This movie offers one of the most important stories of soldiers and interpreters working together in Afghanistan." Guy Ritchie's #TheCovenant starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Dar Salim is only in theaters April 21.

@HouseGOP @SenateGOP @SenateDems @HouseDemocrats
300k+ #AfghanAllies and their families stuck in #TalibanHell need the #AfghanAdjustmentAct
77k+ Evacuees here now, with no path to permanent status need you to #PassAAA
70%+ of #Americans support this bill
#Vets4AAA
Afghans deserve to be protected from human rights crises. We must pass the #AfghanAdjustmentAct #ISupportAAA
Over 77k need the #AfghanAdjustmentAct in order to stay here and know that they are safe from #TalibanHell
@saf_rauf isn't wrong about how things continue to get worse for the 300k #AfghanAllies left behind. Stuck because of a broken #SIV program.
If Congress fails to pass a bill establishing a path to permanent residence, many evacuees could be deported to Afghanistan — and face retaliation from the Taliban. https://t.co/SNH4eqsrX1
Challenges are an understatement
For the 300,000+ #AfghanAllies that are still stuck in #TalibanHell
Starving and freezing.
Not to mention in hiding, hoping the Taliban doesn't find them.
The #AfghanAdjustmentAct could have leveled the field for them. Help #keepourpromise
#OneYearLater Afghan refugees still face challenges in their search for refuge. Asylum is a legal right and in their time of need, it is our responsibility to stand with our #AfghanAllies.
#AfghanAdjustmentAct #ISupportAAA
getting the #AfghanAdjustmentAct reintroduced and passed is so important.
70,000+ still don't know if #thisishome
300,000+ still stuck in #TalibanHell
Including my friend A, who spent 12 years working #ShohnabaShohna with US forces.
#PassAAA
https://t.co/fMMDoiXn8z
Here is an agonizing story....
Because the #AfghanAdjustmentAct wasn't passed, 300,000+ #Allies and their families continue to be #leftbehind to try surviving in #TalibanHell.
‘The Covenant’ trailer promises an agonizing Afghan translator story https://t.co/XeNK2eYfpf
Then there are the kids like this little guy with my friend @sammicannold Who like many, have 1 or both parents STILL in Afghanistan, trapped in #TalibanHell
This goes beyond just just the 78,000 who were evacuated. @brikeilarcnn
Where time is really running out is for the 300,000+ #SIV left behind in #TalibanHell
#AfghanAllies are continuing to be failed, because @SenateGOP @SenateDems won't #keepourpromise and #PassAAA
Afghan Adjustment Act not included in omnibus spending bill, source says, from @jaketapper - Proponents of legislation say time is running out for tens of thousands of Afghans in the US now at risk of deportation if it doesn't become law. https://t.co/pkag3nzb98
