I've been in SF for the past 3 weeks and met some incredible people. Being here for #techweek and #techcrunch, I've learnt some valuable things.
Some takeaways (in no particular order):
• Mindset and imagination are your greatest limitations (limits don't seem to exist in SF)
• Ship and validate sooner (...and sooner than you just thought)
• Personalise CTAs and give free value for GTM
• It's easy to become isolated in a world of WFH and AI. Human-to-human connection is more important than ever
• Push current AI models to their limits (advice from Anthropic)
• There's no such thing as "being ready". Just get in the deep end asap
• Sell outcomes, not features. Nobody buys "AI", they buy hours back or money in
• Service first, product later. A service pays now and funds whatever you want to build next
• The level of belief and encouragement between peers in SF is unreal.
With all the inspiration and motivation, I've decided to ship the 2 apps I've been building to App Store (in review rn), and keep building custom AI systems for businesses, done for you, from first workflow to fully running.
