I’m proud to be a cosponsor of the bipartisan Impact Aid Infrastructure Partnership Act, which will help repair, modernize, and rebuild aging school facilities in federally impacted communities. This is especially important for our district, where many schools face unique challenges due to the large amount of federally owned land that limits local funding. By matching federal resources with local communities, we can ensure every student has access to a safe, modern learning environment.

I enjoyed the opportunity to speak to our community’s educators at the Silver Valley United School District AI Symposium. Artificial Intelligence has the potential to revolutionize our education system, and it is critical that we equip our students—and our educators—with the tools, training, and safeguards they need to succeed.

I appreciated the opportunity to meet with Silver Valley Unified School District Superintendent Jesse Najera, Assistant Superintendent Marc Lacey, and School Board President Karen Gray to discuss the critical role of Impact Aid. This funding is essential for schools serving military and federally impacted students, ensuring they receive the resources they need. I’ll continue to fight for Impact Aid to support our schools!
