If #TheMEAC doesn’t completely destroy each other during our in-conference play this season, then I can see The 2nd Place Team, making the FCS Playoffs. But this is THE MOST EXCITED I’ve been for MEAC Football in a very long time.

It’s better to look at other MEAC Teams, and see how they do versus ranked FCS Teams.
So far, Howard lost to #17 Richmond, and Del State lost to #23 W&M.

Now that #TheMEAC is racking up the out of conference FCS victories, where are all those people that were chirping at me the past few weeks about FCS HBCUs not needing to play out of conference FCS PWI Games?

And if SC State wins #TheMEAC again, they still can’t even attempt to compete for an FCS National Championship.
That’s the tragedy of a MEAC Season. Our best, can’t attempt to be the best.
@stevenjgaither’s article perfectly states reasons #TheMEAC was founded, includes; “…larger schools, which had their sights set on competing with predominantly white institutions (PWIs) in the NCAA’s upper echelons.” This is one of the main reasons #TheMEAC exists.

Can’t anyone tell me that in 2024, Howard doesn’t win #TheMEAC with QB Tolbert starting.
Can’t anyone tell me that in 2023, Howard doesn’t beat Northwestern and win The Celebration Bowl if Coach Scott uses our former Kicker Bickerton more.
Anyway, we can still beat Rutgers.

In #TheMEAC, we consistently lose games that we should win.
Whether if it’s Richmond vs Howard, Morgan State vs Towson, or Del State vs W&M, we keep losing close games to these bum teams.
But we don’t run from them either.
I admire @NCCU_Football. I like how they came into #TheMEAC from DII and started winning immediately & winning consistently. I like how @CoachTOliver develops players, especially Quarterbacks. I like how AD @PerkinsSkip builds a football schedule. They have an actual PROGRAM.
@NCCU_Football is still in the hunt folks. If they can pull this game out versus A&T, they have some big games coming up on their schedule; Gardner Webb, Campbell, and William & Mary. Win them, go 4-1 in #TheMEAC, finish 9-3, and Central will be in the postseason…a lot of “ifs.”
I’m just going to keep saying this throughout the season, what the heck was Coach Scott looking at in 2024? It was BLATANTLY CLEAR that Jaylon Tolbert, even as a sophomore, was the better quarterback.

We want The MEAC to be the best.
We understand that in order to be the best, we must beat the best, whomever they are.
I have family connections to Virginia State, and am excited about the opportunity to potentially have them join #TheMEAC, but if they get here, and load up their schedule with Va-Lynchburg, and multiple DII teams each season, like, do we really need that? I want The MEAC to rise.
