Rock Island High School hosted its annual Construction Trades Career Expo for all QCA students. It was a great opportunity for students and their families to come out and learn more about apprenticeship programs and career opportunities in construction trades. #ThisHouseRocks

The RIHS Boys Bowling team placed 2nd at Regionals this week and are heading to Sectionals this Saturday for the first time as a team! The Rocks have had a great season. The team has only had two losses in duel match play this year. Congratulations and good luck! #ThisHouseRocks

This week staff from our Student Services Department dropped off 24 food baskets that they donated to the Blackhawk Phoenix Program. The food baskets will be given out to their students for the holidays. A big thank you to our staff for their generosity! #ThisHouseRocks
RICMS leader team presented Sergeant Gates from the Marines with a check for $457.63 for Toys for Tots! The school raised money selling tickets for a chance to Pie a staff member in the face. Kudos to our staff and students for giving back to the community! #ThisHouseRocks
Ridgewood Elementary School held a "Hanging with Heroes" event and invited local first responders to sit with students during lunch. This gave students a chance to ask all the questions they might have about what's involved in being a first responder. #ThisHouseRocks
A Washington Jr. High student got to have her wish come true! Markelah Hicks suffers from diabetes and wanted to meet a princess so the staff at WJHS made it happen! Miss Iowa, who also suffers from diabetes stopped by WJHS and shared her story with students. #ThisHouseRocks
