IN PICS: The five-tier ship locks of the #ThreeGorges project, the world's largest hydropower project on #China's #YangtzeRiver, have handled over 1.1 million vessel trips by the end of March, with 2.37 billion tonnes of cargo transported. The ship locks have operated safely for nearly 23 years since they opened to public traffic in June 2003, achieving an annual cargo throughput of over 100 million tonnes for 12 consecutive years, according to the Three Gorges Navigation Authority.
