Congressional Candidate Robert Smullen @SmullenNewYork, a RINO running for @EliseStefanik’s seat NY21 voted with Zohran Mamdani @ZohranKMamdani in the New York Assembly to give trans sex workers rights so they didn’t get legally penalized for prostitution.
After A03355 passed, Zohran boasted on X, writing in 2021:
“Today, I’m ecstatic to say that the Assembly has passed A03355 with a 105-44 vote, repealing the #WalkingWhileTrans (section 240.37 of NYS penal law). Advocates, like TS Candii, have been fighting for this for years and it hasn’t been easy.”
The official language of A03355 reads:
“Repeals provisions relating to loitering for the purpose of engaging in a prostitution offense; makes technical corrections relating thereto.”
Smullen has also posted “Happy Pride” on his Instagram page.
