In machine learning (esp. active learning theory), an omniscient oracle is an idealized perfect labeler. It always returns the true label y for any queried instance x, drawn from the true conditional p(y|x), with no errors, abstentions, or fatigue. This assumption simplifies analysis of query complexity but is unrealistic for real human annotators.
