#UK_State, risibly claiming to be a #Union of four nations, is rotten to its core of unelected privilege, cloaking unelected sleaze, venality and inequality. It's manifestly disintegrating as a democracy, with the rot cascading from monarchy through private schools and Oxbridge.

The operating principle of the #UK_state is #war, #nuclear_war if necessary. It profit from war by its amoral #arms_industry and generates a hefty chunk of its income from wars in other countries. UK believes killing men, women and children is an effective #job_creation_scheme.

#British, #Britain are dirty words internationally right now, with global perceptions that the #UK_state known by those terms has lost its way. At the same time the nations of #Scotland and #Wales are seeing the way to #independence and #N_Ireland moves towards #reunification

Internationally Great Britain & Northern Ireland, i.e the #UK_state, is recognised as a #country. That's a legal convenience, a pragmatic necessity. But in reality it isn't, and never has been: it's a #dysfunctional_monarchical_conglomerate_state of three nations and a province.

AN #indyref2 block (see statements by Tory Leadership candidates) is a #democratic_outrage - it denies the elected Government of the nation of Scotland the right to determine by referendum the views of its people on independence of the nation from the #UK_State. Be careful, UK!

A Scottish independence supporter with a #knighthood or a #lordship by the grace and favour of the #Head of the #UK_State seems like Orwellian #doublethink to me - the ability to hold two contradictory propositions in their head at once - or just plain hypocrisy ...

It's invalid to equate the #Scottish_Independence_Referendum with #EU_Referendum because both are constitutional.. A referendum by a country, #Scotland, seeking independence #from the #UK_state is not the same as one #by the UK state seeking exit from a #voluntary_union with #EU.

SNP would never do anything as brave as Catalonia, whose politicians were prepared to risk their careers and freedom for independence. Illegal under whose law? That of the #UK_state we're trying to escape from? Do we think the 2021 Holyrood majority will get a different response?

The 'something wrong' with Scotland is its membership of the #UK_State, and #Scotland will never be right until we get the hell out of it - democratically and legally, with a referendum. #rUK is headed for hell in a handcart with #Brexit and we're being dragged behind the cart.

#EU can't do a deal with #Scotland because of it's part of #UK_state. #UK_state can't do a separate deal for same reason. Remedy? #indyref2
