Since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) elected its national officers, the party's buzzword has been unity.
It seems to me however that unity is not a sufficient ingredient in the effort to win elections.
As far as I am concerned, the most important ingredient ought to be relevance to the aspirations of the electorate.
In 2028, some of the most important issues will be how Ghana can achieve self-sufficiency in food production, the maximization of returns from the extraction of minerals, the stabilization of national currency, improved access to social services including, housing, education and health.
Unity is certainly desirable but relevance is the key.
