TGO19 Day 2: Long trudge up the loch became a slog at Kinlochetive, at times thigh-deep in bog, sapping all my energy. When I reached the Glen Etive road I was pretty much done, but still had 5.5km to go. After a coffee, I kicked off my boots to finish in flipflops. #virtualTGO
TGO19 Day 2: Woke around 5.30am to the sound of a cuckoo + found frost on the tent. I pulled gloves + hat and tried for more sleep. My route started as easy going, following a track until it vanished between a beach + a bog. Stopped for a wild swim in the sunshine. #virtualTGO
After reaching Taynuilt in time for an afternoon coffee, I pushed on through the woods + over the river to Inverawe, then carried on to find an overnight campsite on the side of Loch Etive. #virtualTGO
I started my 2019 @TGOChallenge in Oban on the Saturday, a bit late due to essential last minute preparation (FAFFING about). But it meant I missed the rain showers + had glorious weather to walk out to Taynuilt through Glen Lonan. #virtualTGO
