Abi tore her gaze from the odd fungi & turned to the splash of color tugging at the edge of her vision. She groaned. As much as she wanted to think the doll posed provocatively on the trail ahead was not the same one she'd passed earlier, she knew better.

She buried the #doll in the neighbours' garden. She buried the thing facedown, wrapped in duct tape to hide the bloodstains. But of course it came back, on Halloween of all nights, leaving dirt tracked through the house, sitting pretty and cracked on her bed.
