I hadn’t contributed to FG since I shared #WaitDontMake back in July 2021.
But, made an exception last week because a friend of mine asked me to crate a memorial for their loved one so that none of the obituary vultures could.
Something so simple shouldn’t be difficult.
It's time to retweet this, as someone has already raced to Find a Grave to add the names of all of those killed in Uvalde, TX. The Find a Grave numbers game has to stop, and this is an example of why some of us feel so strongly about this issue. #WaitDontMake

This #WaitDontMake thread to @FindaGrave & @Ancestry from @DanielGenealogy raises an important issue. Daniel is not a lone voice; he is expressing the feelings of many about the undesirable behaviour of a minority of users, which the company needs to address.

One thing I want to try and achieve is to help improve the genealogy community and industry as a whole. And a major thing I want to improve on is FindaGrave. You might think "here he goes on his rant again" but hear me out... [1/15]

Results are in. 32% said yes and 68% said no. I’m relieved it hasn’t happened to as many as I thought on Twitter, I know it happened a lot to people on Facebook. But that still doesn’t mean that the issue doesn’t disappear. Thanks to all who chimed in. #WaitDontMake

I definitely agree with this and hope others will start adhering to it. I had to race to create my Mom's memorial just a day after her death, no way I wanted anyone to do with it, especially those memorial hoarders.
Please be respectful of the grieving.

I love @FindaGrave and @BillionGraves and @Ancestry but it’s time to change the rules. Since they won’t, we need to do it ourselves. I 100% agree with @DanielGenealogy on this.
