With the #ArabianSea depression gradually moving north to north-northwest, its influence is expected to be felt across #Maharashtra from today through 27 October. As the system climbs in latitude, moist easterly winds will give way to southerly, #moisture-laden flow across western Maharashtra, leading to more cloudy conditions and passing showers, while typical evening #thunderstorms may take a back seat. Due to widespread cloud cover, daytime temperatures are likely to drop by a few degrees over the next couple of days. However, since the system remains far from the coast, the main convergence zone and heavier rainfall will stay concentrated over the Arabian Sea, favoring Saurashtra, southern Gujarat, and northern #MH, where stronger thundery activity can be expected. Along the #Konkan coast, including #Mumbai, occasional #rain is likely as south to southwest winds gain dominance bit like the monsoon pattern. Meanwhile, interior and ghat regions may see lesser activity, given the southerly orientation of winds that currently favors coastal rainfall over inland convection. Note: The weather forecast may change depending on how the system behaves in the coming hours. Its track and movement—whether it continues parallel to the Maharashtra coast, drifts westward, or curves northeastward—will determine the overall weather scenario for the region.
