Beacon (built for The Zerops Challenge) checks its own Next.js app, Postgres, and Valkey every ~20s, auto-detects incidents, and writes a report to object storage when one resolves.

Built a small project with AI as my coding partner.
AI wrote a lot of the code.
I spent my time designing (order book, chartβ¦), testing, breaking, and improving the system. π
Tried to replicate how market surges happen β 5 β 5,000 ticks/sec, candles, indicators & a live order book.
Large market orders hit the book β liquidity gets eaten β price moves β the order book reflects the pattern.
Just a simulation, but pretty fun to watch it unfold. π

One thing I genuinely regret from my CS journey is never attending hackathons.
There was always an assignment, an exam, or some other excuse.
Looking back, I feel hackathons are where a lot of people discover whether they actually enjoy building, shipping, and solving problems not just studying computer science.
