What an embarrassment. This is Madras Airport. At this moment, there are just seven aircraft on the ground six IndiGo aircraft at Terminal 1 and one Air India aircraft at Terminal 4. Once that Air India flight departs, T4 will be completely empty.

Over the years, several airlines have reduced services or shifted operations away from Chennai. There was a time when Chennai was the aviation gateway of South India. Today, it has clearly lost its momentum.

To regain its position, Chennai needs the Parandur airport, better airline incentives, and long-term aviation infrastructure that can support future growth. please @CMOTamilnadu reconsider youre decision about Parandur sir.
