Why?
Because a) India is a strategic partner of the US b) India is a strategic partner of Israel c) if we go down, we will take India along and d) we simply can.

It’s not a perfect doctrine, but it keeps India up at night, and the Indians do very well to advise their Western / Zionist friends to cool it.
