The biggest take-away from this course, at least from my end, is that the overall changes to society and innovation that resulted from disruptive technology made it essential to recognize what those technologies turn out to be and how we include it in our lifestyle. #DigiTechF22B

@imannn414 Given the circumstances that the 2020-2021 pandemic had brought towards the working class, businesses will need to know how to apply remote working technology in the case that their employees cannot come in-person. Remote working opportunities have definitely grown since then.

@JeffJin02 Arguably, AI and algorithms in general have already been used in a way to generate activity and personalize the experience of users on the internet, and it has continued to expand in factory line work, self-driving cars, postal services, among others.

@RR_hw23 It's definitely an interesting concept to keep in mind for the future as virtual worlds and their use are expanded, though the strides that have been taken by different companies, Meta included, have been somewhat lackluster and haven't quite caught on at this time.

Virtual Reality will continue to become more immersive for the user.
As better processing power and tools for control improve with new models of VR headsets and controllers, their applicability to fields outside of entertainment rise.

@StevenKarczew I think social media is a really interesting topic to go over as its major upside is the fact that many people can use it to send out posts and information at a whim, which has its ups and downs as it means good and bad opinions can spread at any point.

@RAlbrolisy @fatimashahid399 I was just thinking this! There are many articles and a documentary about how such connectivity could potentially allow for anyone with enough knowledge to breach security and exploit a smart home's devices.

@jp4school AI and automation is very much an interesting topic to tackle for the EDTP project and reaches into a large variety of fields from self-driving cars and law enforcement, to creative programs and consumer products, whether or not they've been largely positive or negative changes.

#DigiTechF22B for my EDTP, I'm looking into how smartphones and smartphone ownership has led to a revolution of change within our society, as they are our easiest & quickest means of sharing information and media. This tweet would not exist if smartphone usage hadn't skyrocketed.

@StevenKarczew The way that information can be spread around on social media by anyone means that anything could be shared around and perceived by large groups of people. This would have been improbable in the past, and while it's good being more aware of the world it is a double edged sword.

@nfs422 The internet has many tools for gathering communities and like-minded people, as well as providing a wealth of information sources for people to research on, which I feel those who explore their gender and sexuality and redefine themselves put to good use.

@gabrieljohndrz I would see myself aligned with those who are concerned about Artificial Intelligence, but there is no denying that due to the wide reach of different applications AI could be put to, along with AI already implemented, it wouldn't be long until people are used to it.

- can take advantage of the anonymity to take no real world accountability for their actions. To reveal one's personal information unwillingly is known as "doxxing," and is widely frowned upon nowadays on social media, to put into perspective on how much anonymity matters. (3/3)

Many people make a living on sites like Youtube, Twitch, and Patreon, all without having to spare any personal details that could identify them. While this has the upside of allowing a user to present themselves on their accounts, the downside to this means that bad actors- (2/3)
