We have identified the issue that is currently causing elevated Anteater, Monkey, and Weasel errors in Marathon. We are taking servers offline now and are targeting 6PM PT to bring them back online in order to issue a maintenance patch.
We will continue to issue updates as soon as they're available.
ONGOING ISSUE:
We're continuing to investigate the Anteater, Monkey, and Weasel errors. We're also going to be sending three Deluxe Sponsored Kits to everyone who's logged in in during the affected times. These will be distributed once things are stable.
Thanks for hanging with us, and we'll share more information as soon as we can.
@MarathonDevTeam Guys, it's a shame that you just pushed away new players now, you had a chance and it seems you missed it. I just feel bad for the game!
@MarathonGG_ Marathon should be proud to have so many devoted haters who subscribe to all channels and comment on every post))) On topic, I’m really looking forward to buffs for weapons that are harder to obtain but still weaker than the Bully or M77. That just feels wrong.
I’m so sick of people talking shit about Marathon when they clearly haven’t even played it.
The game is legit incredible, get off twitter and play a game for once instead of posting constant engagement bait for a couple of likes and retweets. Grow the fuck up.
@OssianTT@MarathonGG_ That’s the problem — PvP is there even for beginners. You start a new game, still learning the movement, weapons, mechanics, and AI… and then there’s PvP on top of that.
I love Marathon for its hardcore gameplay, but let’s be honest — it scares a lot of new players away.
@MarathonGG_ Bad idea. The playerbase is already not that big, and splitting it across multiple maps and modes will only hurt matchmaking and increase queue times.
The biggest problem is that this mode feels almost identical to Solo mode gameplay. It’s just boring.
I feared as much...
"PVE-only mode that’s focused on crews being tasked with completing objectives together and making some progress across matches"
I don't like this idea at all. I don't see the point of it.

Almost the end of the season, and I finally managed to kill the Compiler. And the best part — I did it with random teammates. Thanks guys! @MarathonGG_
