Brutal and disproportionate lockdowns were the biggest policy mistake in my lifetime, so far.
We should have properly protected the elderly/vulnerable, and allowed the rest of society to function as normally as possible.
Yes, it would have been challenging. But a blanket lockdown policy on tens of millions who were at almost zero risk from the virus was utterly disastrous.
The vast, vast majority of children were in zero danger. Yet their wellbeing and development was sacrificed without a second thought.
We should have encouraged people to get fit and healthy, so they were better equipped to deal with COVID when they inevitably caught it.
There should have been an honest conversation about risk levels - this was not an indiscriminate killer, there were clear and obvious risk groups.
Instead, using our money, the Government pumped fear into the entire population with no thought of the consequences. A non-COVID health crisis has killed thousands already and will continue, with a far younger average age of death than those who sadly died from COVID. In addition to millions suffering in pain due to lockdown-induced delays...
Shutting down the economy, causing vast incalculable damage that we are still feeling today. In fact, my grandchildren will be paying off our lockdown debts for many years to come.
Hundreds of billions gone - think how just a fraction of that could have been spent on a real protective ring around those who actually needed it.
Sweden showed us that there was a better way, yet our inquiry entirely ignores it. Quite purposefully, I suspect.
I have no faith in this circus to come to a balanced assessment of our pandemic response, and neither should you.
@thinkinghat @AnnaSova17 @jonathanstea Here is another video of the disgusting dehumanisation deployed to coerce and demonise those unwilling to partake in the worlds largest medical experiment.
Those who still defend or downplay this dark period of history are beyond contempt.

Here's a compilation of news clips from 2020-2022 to remind everyone of all the lies, coercion & the countless contradictory statements that were made by public figures.
A dreadful daily diet of dehumanisation, discrimination & desperation.

Here I'll list all the examples of hatred, calls for discrimination & segregation, people demanding others to denied treatment or lose their jobs simply because some decided to decline the offer of vaccination.
The hatred still continues to this day!

@lhfang Lee check out our Shots Heard PGP coverage. The more we dig into the PGP-run Shots Heard private Facebook group membership, the more disconcerting their efforts to censor are.
This group should not enjoy IRS non-profit status.

5/5 Germany, as discussed in the article, also had its own viral research lab in Wuhan, which is a partner institution of the WIV. The director of the German lab organised the Berlin conference that brought Drosten and Shi together.

1/ Excellent summary. The only things I would add is that the manufacturer of PCR kit was TIB-Molbiol in Berlin. Olfert Landt, CEO of TIB, developed the PCR protocol with Drosten. Also, the NEJM "asymptomatic spread" paper was by a group of German doctors, including...Drosten.
@LeilaniDowding@CharlotteEmmaUK@emilysheffield Many of us won't be forgetting in a hurry, nor will we be quick to let them forget what they did either...

@TrattenRabbit Yes, @devisridhar, the public certainly deserves a reckoning.
One whereby you and your colleagues who were the ones to truly profit from this crisis are held to account for the immeasurable harms your actions caused.

@devisridhar Seeing as you're attempting to rewrite history & absolve yourself & colleagues of any responsibility for the harmful outcomes of advice to government, would you care to comment on why you were sending private DMs to the BBCs health editor berating them for allowing public debate?
@CathyCathyFox Here is a screenshot of the now deleted Tweet linking to a 2020 mirror article she wrote.
Very good thread, by the way! 🙏
