We need to start believing women's pain...
Despite serious period pain, this report found that 51% of people felt their healthcare professional failed to take their problems seriously, and 86% had had mental health problems related to their period

I had a great chat with @AleksandraCho13 about the pros and cons of #eggfreezing and what to consider if you thinking about doing it in a way that supports your overall wellness.
On, June 18th at 11AM PST we're hosting a meet and greet with ELANZA co-founders, @CMHendy and @HawkBritt . They'll share their story, passion, and unique approach to transforming #endometriosis care along with answering any questions.

A $300 million investment into improving female health could generate around $13 billion for the global economy. If there was some more homework done by some of these investors, they’d understand why this is an area that is ripe for growth and investment.

Women with #endometriosis have 3X higher healthcare costs on avg. Time to diagnosis is 7+ years, longer for Black women. Half of women with endometriosis reported earning less money as a result of symptoms. @McKinsey https://t.co/zJhPtWFxjg
These are some scary and accurate words around the state of #womenshealth.
“It’s considered ‘normal’ for women’s reproductive functions to be a bit abnormal — and if it’s really bad, well, maybe it’s all in your head.”

@Semiotics_Omnia@ElanzaWellness What would you say to someone that cannot pay out of pocket for a $20k excision surgery or someone who doesn't want to get a hysterectomy, putting them into a state of early menopause/infertility?
@theendoinformer @ElanzaWellness It doesn't look like you read the article as it goes into all the pros and cons of a variety of surgery and medical options AND evidence on alternatives. Not everyone wants hormonal meds & not everyone can afford or may want surgery. Access is a huge issue in this category.
Did you know that there is no clinical standard of care for #endometriosis? Nope, no standardized training in medical school. And, most healthcare codes don't reimburse for the surgeries that could be most effective.
The onus is on patients. Again.
