One Reddit post drove a 600%+ revenue jump for Melo.

Day 5 of building Melo in public until it hits 10,000 downloads.

Yesterday I posted Melo in r/macapps after finally getting enough karma.

I wasn’t expecting much. Maybe a few comments, maybe some feedback, maybe one sale if I got lucky.

Instead, people actually showed up.

They asked questions.
They challenged the pricing.
They pointed out what was unclear.
They told me what would make them trust the app more.
So I listened, replied, clarified the offer, and made a few quick changes.
A few hours later, Melo hit CA$217 in gross volume, up from CA$27 the previous period.
Then it showed up as the 5th fastest growing startup on Unicorne that day.

Kind of insane that one honest Reddit post did more than some paid ads.

Reminder to myself:

Distribution does not always mean “scale ads.”

Sometimes it’s just showing up where your users already are and taking the feedback seriously.
