We have noticed a 30% increase in cardiac arrest calls between March & April 2020 compared to the same time in 2019. We fear people may be ignoring or down playing signs & symptoms of a severe cardiac event to avoid going to hospitals during this uncertain time. Please call 911!

Scantic Spring Splash will be Sat 3/30. This event will require South Maple St and Powder Hill Roadways to close at 11AM. Only spectators of the event and local residents will be allowed access. All affected roads are expected to re-open by 2PM. Please seek an alternate route.

On 2/8/19, E-34 responded to Steele Rd in the Enfield District as part of the Special Operations response after a motor vehicle crashed into the house. The Enfield Special Ops team assisted EFD and the town building department with shoring up and stabilizing the structure.

On Tuesday evening around 22:30 fire crews were dispatched to Cloud St in the Hazardville District for a garage fire. Crews were able to contain the fire to the attached garage and breezeway.
