In, DT year 4 children have designed, made and evaluated a functional tote bag in preparation for our library visit in the spring term. The children will use their bags to carry books to and from Leicester Central Library. 📕 📚 @HazelSchool @MrsTonksHCPS1

The children in Class 10MA have shown great determination, perseverance and altruism throughout the process of making their tote bags. They’ve supported one another, worked thoughtfully together. They should be very proud of all they’ve achieved 👏🏾 👏🏾 @HazelSchool @MrsTonksHCPS1

Year 4 have been busy creating prototypes of their tote bags to explore any challenges they might face when making the final tote bags. The children have showed determination and team work throughout the process. @HazelSchool @MrsTonksHCPS1

In science, Year 4 have shown great determination and fantastic team work in creating their Plastic Challenge. They’ve used plastic materials and designed purposeful items, such as plant pot, pencil holders and watering cans ♻️. @HazelSchool

The children in year 4 have shown love of learning and fantastic determination during their steel pan performance. We would also like to thank our steel pan Teacher Pat who’s always amazing in teaching us our new song.@HazelSchool

The children had a chance to explore the Tropical Garden and looked at different types of cactuses. They also looked closely at which plants grow in different kinds of weather. 🌵 🌱 🌴@HazelSchool

Year 4 had a great time today at the Botanical Garden. They’ve learnt all about the Tropic Cancer and the Tropical Capricorn and what the weather is like there! They’ve used their love of learning to answer question about the equator.@HazelSchool

Year 4 looked carefully at describing the wizard in our new English text The Wolf’s Secret. They used relevant vocabulary to describe the wizard and identified irrelevant vocabulary that did not describe him. @HazelSchool
