Homebuilders care! HBAGK members including our Professional Women in Building Council (PWB) recently awarded a dozen scholarships to students who are entering or preparing for the building industry. PWB members presented Lowe’s gift cards to area high school graduates who are going directly to work in various fields including HVAC, electrical, residential construction, and more. Most of them are already working and the gift cards will help them buy the tools and equipment needed for their jobs. Other students are enrolled in collegiate construction management programs working their way towards a degree that will ultimately earn them positions as project managers and construction supervisors. These young adults are the future of our industry and we are very proud to support them at the beginning stages of their careers. #hbagk75 #PWB

Please alert your members to a phishing scam currently circulating under the subject “NAHB License Update Notification.” The message comes from an external, non-NAHB address and urges recipients to update their “License Status” to avoid delays, directing them to a fake login page designed to steal credentials. Members should not click any links, provide personal information and delete the email immediately. Thank you for helping keep our community safe.
