These are the people who keep all of our schools clean and ready for teachers and students. THANK YOU for all of your hard work, rain or shine, all year long.
Today at the Plant Operations Summer Seminar, we presented certificates to these custodial building supervisors whose annual quality control inspection scores achieved 85% or better. Leadership makes a difference. Great job all! @SuptDuran @APSVirginia
I enjoyed visiting @Nekya_HB and @HBWProgram@APS_Shriver partnering on their Disability Awareness Month Equity Block; this was an awesome panel on inclusion! @DEI_APS
I had an exciting visit to @HBWProgram this afternoon! I visited a sixth-grade Spanish class where I talked to students about why they love HB, including the unique culture and variety of student-led programs.
I also observed a geography class and visited with juniors in an algebra class prepping for their SOLs. I ended my visit on a high note, talking to a group of eighth-graders as they prepared for a performance this evening. Thank you to all the staff who welcomed me into their classrooms.

While at @HBWProgram today, I attended the Career Fair Day—Pick Your Passion! Students learned about over 30 paths from realty to software engineering to automotive careers. We also met with exchange students visiting from Aachen through @arlingtonglobal.
At HB Woodlawn's Pick Your Passion event today, students learned about a variety of career options. We enjoyed learning from local realtors, personal trainers, and a tattoo artist.
Thank you to my friends at @HBWProgram for hosting Mr. Jason Routson today for “Pick your Passions” day! He had the opportunity to speak with secondary students about his career journey 🚙 @APSVirginia
As a student at @HBWProgram, Julia Brodsky conducted (as her supervisor described it) “PhD candidate-level” microbiology research at Walter Reed. Now she's heading to @MIT. She is one of this year's Extraordinary Teen Award winners. @APSVirginia
