Got back to @PaultonsPark to check out the incredible Valgard! Beautiful project to see come to life. Drakon is beautiful, and soooo smooth. Great supporting line up too. Feasting hall was a highlight with some of the best theme park food around - theme park Nando’s ✅
Quite the eventful weekend! Starting off at Fear at Avon Valley.
The Core is now my #1 of all time. What a scare attraction. Yes, it has a gimmick but it works so well and the actors nailed it. The screamer at the end was 👌
I’m officially warmed up for Halloween-proper now
Still a way to go… food is still mainly awful and overpriced. A few grubby spots around the park. Wicker Man is a bit of a shell of its former self (smells are gone and lack of fire disappoints). Galactica being on one station is a massive pain. But overall… very good 😊😄
@altontowers redemption?!? Had an amazing weekend at the park with incredible ride availability, good ops (low queues and they kept moving). Seeing people react to the park and rides completely blind is always great fun and offers unique perspectives - they loved it.
Taking a few of my colleagues later this year, and right after a trip to Europa Park myself… I hope it doesn’t disappoint. I really hope Towers call pull back from this (hopefully under new ownership)
I’ve fallen in love with Europa Park!!! Such a stunning and beautifully ran park. Wodan is a new firm favourite, Voltron is solid and the rest just delivers. Will be back for ‘new-ro Mir’ 🚀🪐🛰️
@TheDuckLR Saw it tonight. Fantastic. The decision of only having audio of the interviews was a good call. So much unseen footage and photos to get in, would have been a shame to miss any out. Bought home to me just how little time left we may have them for!
@NickHutsonMusic Saw it today. It’s very 2026 Thorpe. The whole thing needs massive canopy’s. Two or three more food/drinks booths. It will mainly come into play for Fright Nights I imagine. But at least they’ve made an effort with basic landscaping unlike the Hyperia ride area.
Soooo Chessington getting £50 million of investment…. Surely the same to Thorpe and Towers for their 50th Anniversaries would be a fantastic way to ready up for Universal. Split over multiple years - new car parks, entrances, coasters of course. Bring the parks up to scratch 🤔
The park feels really fresh, with what seems like lots of new planting, touch ups and rides looking really well maintained (Swarm and Infernos trains look as good as new). Walking dead pumped with smells and smoke - the best it’s ever been. I hope this continues for 2026 😁😁
Well… @THORPEPARK absolutely nailed that! Fantastic start to the season! Firstly, opening half an hour earlier and closing an hour later than advertised. The ops were, across the board, the best I’ve ever seen. Full ride lineup - downtime was minimal. This is was we like to see

As a life long Alton Towers fan, I’ve never felt so disappointed in the park. It really is disheartening to see the place you love, fall so far behind.
Everything from the ride availability to the staggered openings is affecting the guest experience massively.
We didn’t even get the 4 years of “closed for a refurb, we hope for it to make a splashtastic return soon”.
RIP Rumba it was a great filler ride. Hopefully we hear of a 2029 replacement by the end of the year
Thorpe Park have today officially announced the permanent closure of Rumba Rapids after operating for 39 years at the park! The Intamin rapids ride has seen many changes over its time at the park originally opening as Thunder River back in 1987, before a re theme into Rumba Rapids in 2002. What would you like to see to in place of Rumba Rapids in the future? 🤔
