Due to a South Hopkins Water main break and
multiple schools being without water, Hopkins County Schools will observe NTI Day #9 on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Students should complete their HCS@Home assignments for the day.

As shared previously, some buses may operate on alternate routes. Families impacted by changes to pick-up or drop-off locations or times should have received notification through ParentSquare. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as our drivers navigate these adjustments.

The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. After making adjustments to several bus routes, we have determined that Hopkins County Schools will be in session on Thursday, February 5th, following our normal schedule.

As always, student and staff safety is our top priority. After evaluating roads, we have determined several bus routes are still unsafe to transport our students. Therefore, Hopkins County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4th, for a traditional snow day.

Our transportation staff will utilize tomorrow to develop alternate routes for roads that are unsafe for buses to travel. Our plan is to be back in school on Thursday, but please understand that we may not be able to run all routes.

Due to ongoing icy road conditions, buses are still unable to safely run the majority of our routes. Because of this, Hopkins County Schools will utilize NTI Day #8 on Tuesday, February 3rd. Students should complete their HCS@Home Day 8 assignments.

Due to continued hazardous driving conditions, Hopkins County Schools will utilize NTI Day #7 on Monday, February 2, 2026. Students should complete their HCS@Home Day 7 assignments. We are hopeful road conditions will improve and we can safely return to in-person learning soon.

Due to continued hazardous driving conditions, Hopkins County Schools will utilize NTI day #6 on Friday, January 30th, 2026. Students should complete their HCS@Home Day 6 assignments. All campuses will be closed, and all activities for Friday and Saturday are canceled.

Due to hazardous driving conditions, Hopkins County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 28th, and Thursday, January 29th. These will be Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) days, and students should complete their HCS@Home Day 4 and Day 5 assignments.

Due to winter weather, Hopkins Co Schools will be closed for traditional snow days on Monday, January 26th, & Tuesday, January 27th. These are not NTI days. All campuses will be closed, and all school activities are cancelled. Please stay safe and enjoy these snow days together.
