Last week the Colorado Water Conservation Board voted unanimously to move forward with an instream flow appropriation on Elk Creek. Elk Creek is a tributary to Coal Creek with headwaters adjacent to Lake Irwin. We're excited to provide a minimum flow for this recovering fishery.
