Precinct 4 naturalists welcomed 23 campers from the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center for a volunteer workday at Don Greene Nature Park! They removed invasive species to give the park's wildflowers a boost for future seasons — and learned about the plants and animals right in their own neighborhood, just minutes from the JCC.
Thank you to these young volunteers for giving back!

The Baylor Teen Health Clinic at Bayland Community Center is expanding its services and hours to better serve the community. Starting today, the clinic will be open until 6 p.m. on Thursdays, add Saturday appointments, and opening its services to patients ages 13–26.
These changes mean more opportunities to access affordable, quality healthcare when it's needed most.

Commissioner Lesley Briones championed the expansion of HART across unincorporated Harris County, helping ensure more residents have access to care while allowing law enforcement to focus on violent crime and emergency response. Since launching in 2022, Harris County Public Health's Holistic Assistance Response Teams (HART) have responded to more than 30K calls, connecting residents experiencing mental health crises with trained professionals and specialized support.

One year ago, Commissioner Lesley Briones joined Gulfton residents to break ground on the Burnett Bayland Park Project, a community-driven investment in safer, more accessible spaces for families to gather, play, and connect. Today, that vision is becoming a reality. From new detention ponds and bridges to a community boardwalk, major improvements are taking shape across the park.
👀 See how far we've come.
