@edwardclewis I agree that users are maybe more than half the problem, but when advertising, sponsored content and unwanted news feeds are taking over, and there's no controls or filters over the user feeds then how do you get to the content you really need?

@PaleGringo That's really my key issue with all "public" social media. We are beholden to ads, unwanted content, breach of privacy and lack of control of our inputs. Accepted, nothing is truly free, but as mass users we have no ability to fight against irrelevance.

My take on Bluetickgate: if paying for the blue tick will control spam, will tabloid journalists and their publications still be able to get one?

Twitter: home of retweets, "like" notifications and very little actual content from people.
Facebook: home of vague comments, bullying and ridiclously ineffective privacy policies.

I'm going to have to face it. Between COVID and increased workload, work life balance is a little up in the air and too random to do a regular stream atm. I'm shattered every evening.

When my boss asks me if I'm OK because he thinks I've sounded dejected recently, that's a clear indication more is going on in my head than I may be aware of.

May need to think about things for a bit. This is what I think about at midnight when woken up by fireworks.
