Lawyers Association For Constitution writes to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant raising concerns over the manner in which Noida DM Medha Roopam's petition was listed.

The Association alleges that her petition was "specially assigned to a particular bench" despite the prevailing roster.

Highlighting that Medha Roopam is the daughter of the Chief Election Commissioner, the Association says preferential treatment to a matter sets a wrong precedent.

"The special listing before a particular bench has not enhanced confidence in the judicial process," the letter says.

The Association also flags the muting of the live procedings.

The issue is regarding the petition filed by Medha Roopam challenging the Allahabad High Court's order criticising her for ordering the detention of a student under the National Security Act in connection with the Noida workers' protest, and asking her to pay Rs 5 lakh compensation.

For opposition:

Yes, elections are being rigged. But when you continue to participate in rigged elections, you legitimise these elections and help maintain the illusion that they are free and fair.

Maybe you keep contesting because you fear that if you don’t, you will stop existing. But what kind of existence are you trying to protect when votes are being stolen, your MLAs and MPs are being poached, and your parties are being split?

This is not political survival. You are simply trying to stay alive in a system that can weaken you, split your party or take away your elected representatives whenever it wants. How long can you survive like this?

And you cannot talk about election rigging only when it happens in states that matter to you and remain silent when it happens elsewhere. If elections are being rigged, it should matter regardless of the state or which party is affected.

You cannot keep saying the game is rigged while continuing to play it. Your participation is the only thing that gives these rigged elections legitimacy.

Think about the nation and its democracy before thinking about your own political survival. Take a stand and stop participating in rigged elections.

🚨COCKROACH JANTA PARTY’S THREE DEMANDS ON CEC GYANESH KUMAR🚨

Demand Number 1

-Gyanesh Kumar must resign within 48 hours. Initiate criminal proceedings against him. Answer who gave him the orders to steal votes.

Demand Number 2

-Put on hold all upcoming elections. Freeze SIR immediately. Roll back the voters list to January 2025. Constitute an independent inquiry commission that commands public confidence to probe all SIR related actions. Supreme Court which has much to answer for legalising Gyanesh Kumar’s illegalities must immediately order seizing of SIR related files and records and submission to Court.

Demand Number 3

Repeal the 2023 law on ECI appointments immediately. Draft a new law with active participation of civil society, an independent selection process that inspires public confidence.

If the resignation does not come through in 48 hours, we will launch a nationwide agitation and will end it only when all demands are fulfilled.

Demand 1: Initiation of criminal proceedings against Gyanesh immediately, and an answer to the question: Who gave him the orders?

Demand 2: Put all upcoming elections on hold. Freeze the SIR and restore the January 2025 voter list. Set up an independent inquiry into the entire SIR decision-making process. We also demand that the Supreme Court immediately take custody of all SIR-related files to ensure no records are destroyed, altered or go missing.

Mass Voter Deletions

This is 2018 post of @ArvindKejriwal / Aam Aadmi Party about mass voter deletions. AAP ran a campaign before 2019 Lok Sabha elections and an FIR was registered against AAP.

So BJP cannot ask how BJP was winning elections before 2024. They have been manipulating voter lists since very long.
