We want to clearly express our disappointment with the way the Monad team has been handling builders and collections within the ecosystem.
We are one of those collections.
For more than 9 months, we have worked consistently on NFT projects built on Monad, within the WTM platform ( @WhenTheMint ), developing real utilities and Web3 tools for the ecosystem.
During this time:
We invested our own resources in developers, designers, and moderators
We built product, community, and content every day
We actively participated in both the Development Discord and the official Monad Discord
We backed Monad from day one, when almost no one else did
We launched two collections on Monad: Headfly and ShopSuperOG, both reaching the top in their early days
We completed more than 500 MON transactions to our community through Discord games, rewards, and giveaways on X
We reached out to numerous well-known projects within the Monad ecosystem to propose collaborations with the goal of growing together, and in most cases we received no response or a direct refusal, which ends up turning the ecosystem into a closed circle where only a few are able to grow
Despite all this effort and commitment, we never received a single contact, greeting, or sign of support from the team.
We honestly believed that our work and dedication would naturally include us in the airdrop. The surprise was enormous when we saw that many wallets that did receive tokens had not built anything, had not contributed content, nor added real value to the ecosystem.
We contacted the Monad team to understand why we were not eligible. After several attempts without a response, the only message we received was:
“Hello, unfortunately your team was not able to participate. The group of development teams that qualified was very competitive, and we were unable to evaluate most of the teams that had built something on Monad.”
However, MON was distributed to people who never talked about Monad, never built on Monad, and never contributed to the ecosystem.
Even so, we decided to launch our collection as a free mint, not due to a lack of value, but as a gift to our community, who supported and believed in the project throughout this entire time.
For all of the above, we have decided to pause development and any future initiatives within Monad until there is a real change in how the team communicates with, recognizes, and supports builders who are creating genuine value.
We sincerely hope Monad reflects on this and begins to truly support those who are building day after day.

Yes, we said it: our decision to make it free mint was influenced by how other projects and the ecosystem behaved.
That doesn’t mean we “failed,” it means we adapted to a broken system.
You don’t seem to get it. you’re just another fan defending your blockchain’s fake “community first” claim.
We’re done responding to insults.
@liqowens@monad Price and who agrees isn’t the point.
This was a free mint, refunds were issued, and no one was misled.
We’re discussing builder treatment and ecosystem incentives, not floor prices.
Insults don’t change the facts.
@liqowens@monad Calling it a “grift” makes no sense.
It was a free mint, and everyone who asked for a refund received it.
No funds were taken, no one was harmed.
Facts matter more than insults.
@liqowens@monad Failing would mean we didn’t build or contribute.
We did both, consistently, for 9+ months.
The issue isn’t the airdrop, it’s the absence of transparency, communication and builder-first incentives.
@liqowens@monad No one asked for babysitting.
We asked for basic communication and fair recognition for months of building and contribution.
Those are fundamental pillars of any healthy ecosystem.
@SumaoangMike@monad Yes, you’re right, there was no benefit at all. From day one it was obvious that as soon as $MON launched, everyone would sell, and that’s exactly what happened.
Instead of protecting the community, they destroyed it.
@d_omajime@monad thanks for reading the post and commenting, with the community’s support, we already have more than enough 🫂
By the way, HeadFly looks awesome 🔥
