We need to remember that the Democrats only need to win the midterms this November, and if that happens, the Republicans will never win another election in America!
It’s being reported that Dana Nessel the Michigan State Attorney General is refusing to handover their voter registration data.
This probably has something to do with it.
I ask AI how many registered voters are on the Michigan voter rolls.
Michigan currently has about 8.3 million voter registrations on file, per the most recent state data cited by Bridge Michigan.
The most recent figure: Census Bureau estimates put Michigan’s citizen voting-age population at 7.9 million in 2023. That’s the most current widely-cited number — the Census hasn’t released a newer state-level estimate that’s made it into these reports yet.
For context, this is a smaller number than Michigan’s total registered voters (around 7.3–8.3 million depending on when you check), which is actually a point of public debate — Michigan has more registered voters than citizens of voting age, with registrations running about 105% of the eligible voter population. State officials attribute the gap mostly to outdated registrations (people who’ve moved or died) that are gradually being purged, not to ineligible people voting.
That’s higher than the “active registered voters” figure I mentioned earlier (about 7.3 million) — the difference is that the 8.3 million total likely includes both active and inactive registrations, while 7.3 million reflects only active ones. State officials have noted that over 350,000 registrations were slated for removal in 2025, with another roughly 256,000 set to be cancelled in 2027, as part of routine list maintenance for people who’ve moved, died, or otherwise become ineligible.

Not so long ago, the acronym ESG was trendy in investment markets. The woke thing to do was to invest in ESG-friendly funds. Their popularity promised a maximum return on investment with a commitment to woke ideals.
ESG stands for investing in corporations based on environmental, social and corporate-governance factors. By adopting an environmental, social and governance approach, mutual fund operators could deliver maximum ROI while maintaining a minimal carbon footprint.
Why America Must Reject Isolationism and Its Dangers
Investors could virtue signal their support for LGBT and other social causes while making profits. Corporate structures could be made inclusive despite threats that such social engineering would affect productivity.
Best of all, ESG investment funds excluded all those things liberals love to hate: fossil fuels, weapons, tobacco and alcohol stocks.
Investors Leaving
Everything has now changed with ESG. In a turnaround that surprised Wall Street, woke funds are no longer trendy. The savvy investors are staying away. Call it something else, but avoid the ESG tag at all costs.
The heyday of ESG investing was between 2018 and 2021, when the trend took hold. Hundreds of billions of dollars entered this new market. At that time, the ESG juggernaut seemed impossible to stop. Wall Street giants like BlackRock and Vanguard put their weight behind the move. Investment capital and state pension funds poured into these ESG funds that favored leftist causes.
The left also used these funds to promote shareholder activism. In the name of their (often unaware) investors, ESG mutual funds could use proxy voting to push through resolutions demanding greater climate disclosures, director diversity and other matters. These votes often made headlines when they disrupted business operations with their leftist agendas.
The Backlash
In the spring of 2022, investors started to get the jitters when conservatives denounced a woke agenda behind ESG guidelines, mandates and proxy votes. Companies suffered egregious restraints and unrealistic ecological goals. Investors soon withdrew money from these markets.
Not only did individuals react, but red states that needed a good place to park their vast governmental pension funds also withdrew from ESG-related instruments. Conservatives responded to the left’s weaponization of these funds by redirecting their tens of billions of dollars into more profitable and market-friendly alternatives.
As demand fell, the launch of new ESG mutual funds declined sharply. New fund launches declined from 116 in 2021 to a mere 9 in 2025. The firms also pulled back on the high-profile proxy voting that had caused so much concern and publicity.
Finally, people left because of disappointing returns. Leftist projects rarely make money unless they are about acquiring government money. Investing in woke causes may make someone feel good, but those involved often end up losing out on money-making opportunities. The woke funds have underperformed because they excluded some of the largest and most profitable non-woke companies (such as oil companies) from their indexes and portfolios.
Is the Reign of Woke Investment Over?
Thus, ESG has lost its way in the investment world. People are asking if the ESG is dead. Indeed, a Wall Street Journal report titled “The State of ESG Investing: How Dire Is It?” asked the question.
Some fund managers say they manage to keep it alive by following the same guidelines but calling it something else. However, the ESG movement has lost momentum. Defenders of the market have every reason to rejoice.
There are three lessons to be learned from the fall of woke investment.
The first one is that leftist financial initiatives can be defeated even when supported by the most powerful Wall Street firms and liberal media. All it takes is the courage to say no. Never underestimate the power of protest, even when the odds seem great.
The second lesson is that projects like these are never about money; they are all about ideology. The backers of these initiatives target the economic system and seek to dismantle structures they deem contrary to the ruling zeitgeist. They are willing to lose money (and encourage others to do the same) to see their egalitarian ideals triumph.
Finally, investors must be vigilant lest ESG mutants appear. Some defeated investment managers are doubling down on ESG—but without the name. They are engaged in the dishonest effort to repackage it with something that sounds better. Investors must be wary and insist upon no quarter being given to these subversive funds.
Lack of Originality
The left has few original ideas. It progresses little by little by disguising its dreadful ideals of complete equality and free license. Once exposed for what they are (socialist schemes), the public often rejects them.
When these radical projects suffer defeat, their activists must pull back and find a way to recycle them.
That is why conservatives must always resist such trendy ideas. By forcing the left back, its activists are then saddled with the arduous task of inventing new initiatives that take time and effort.
This is a victory in a battle but not the war. Thus, ESG will have to be retired. If being woke means being trendy, activist investors will have to find another word to replace woke to describe their leftist financial initiatives. Indeed, it is no longer woke to be woke anymore.

My Paris neighbourhood has become a no-go zone
When I moved into Paris’s seventh arrondissement, I was not expecting to find myself living in one of the city’s dreaded no-go zones.
My neighbourhood, admittedly, is not one of the notorious districts on lists of forbidding no-go zones in the French capital’s bleak north end, plagued with crack houses and criminal gangs. I live in one of Paris’s poshest areas. The seventh arrondissement is known for its burnished boulevards and grand monuments. Every morning, I walk my two dogs on the Champ de Mars in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.
World famous for the annual fireworks display to celebrate Bastille Day, the Champ de Mars boasts a glorious past. As suggested by its name, evoking the Roman god of war, it faces the École Militaire whose graduates include a young officer called Napoleon Bonaparte. For centuries, the Champ de Mars was a symbol of order and grandeur. In 1889, the Eiffel Tower was constructed on the site as the centrepiece of the Paris world fair that year. Over the past century, the lush gardens have been admired as an urban sanctuary of bucolic beauty with sculpted lawns, quaint bosquets, and spraying fountains. Old photos of the Champ de Mars show ice cream stands, children holding candy floss, and mothers pushing prams along promenades with the Eiffel Tower soaring in the background.
That’s the dreamy picture postcard. Today, the Champ de Mars is a desolate zone swarming with thieves and predators. After the terrorist attacks in 2015, a ten-foot-high, bulletproof glass wall was constructed around the Eiffel Tower. Near the turnstiles for ticket-buying tourists, pickpockets hover in search of easy prey. Swindlers crouched on the pavement lure gullible foreigners with shell games and three-card monte confidence tricks. Africans illegally selling trinkets spread out on carpets quickly gather up their cheap merchandise and scamper at the first sight of police.
Worse, the Champ de Mars is notorious for sexual assaults and rapes. The victims are usually female tourists enjoying evening festivities on the wide lawns at the foot of the tower. Every year, the French media report shocking sexual aggressions on the Champ de Mars. Three years ago, a 35-year-old man from the Paris suburbs was arrested for raping a 23-year-old British policewoman who was visiting Paris at knifepoint . Last year, an adolescent from Libya was charged with sexually assaulting a Ukrainian woman at the same location.
Under pressure, police claim they are reinforcing foot patrols. But they can do little to control the underlying problem: overtourism.
Paris is the world’s most popular destination city with more than 40 million annual visitors. Seven million of them visit the Eiffel Tower. Overwhelmed with tourist traffic, the overtrodden Champ de Mars lawns have been turned into barren patches of dirt and mud. In the darkness before dawn, rats can be seen darting between overflowing rubbish bins. Nothing seems to function for visitors. There are few lavatories and no drinking fountains. Many of the old stone benches are cracked and crumbling. The Belle Époque fountains and basins, handy in a heatwave, are dry as a bone. But the tourists keep coming, carrying cash and getting intoxicated at night on the lawns — easy targets for petty criminals and sexual predators. The Champ de Mars’s reputation is so bad that Le Point magazine observed that ‘France is dishonoured by the state of the Champ de Mars’.
The Paris council seems indifferent to the degradation. In fact, it deliberately aids and abets the deterioration. With a massive debt of €10 billion (£8.5 billion), the city manages the Champ de Mars like a vast amusement park to maximise revenues. One source of cash comes from events and spectacles. From March till October, the Champ de Mars is virtually monopolised by a constant cycle of entertainments – rock concerts, football fan zones, fashion catwalks, equestrian show jumping events. Before the Paris Olympics two years ago, the merry-go-rounds and children’s marionette theatre on the Champ de Mars were shut down to make way for an 8,000-seat stadium. It often takes weeks to set up these events with bulldozers and giant trucks, and more weeks to dismantle them after the crowds go home. Local residents, unwanted intruders in their own neighbourhood, are confined to fenced-off strips along the edges of the gardens to stroll and walk their dogs.
The knock-on effects of this mismanagement have been catastrophic. The city has cut down hundreds of old trees battered by the constant commotion of trampling tourists and live events. The Paris council announced a redevelopment plan that involved massacring 42 trees, one of them two centuries old, to construct buildings for a ticket office, luggage storage, souvenir shops and takeaway food outlets for tourists visiting the Eiffel Tower. That €72 million scheme – drawn up by the London firm Gustafson Porter & Bowman – was cancelled after a storm of protest.
Complaints have fallen on deaf ears
For local residents, constant vigilance is required to thwart these ill-advised plans of city bureaucrats and commissioned architects. An association called Friends of the Champ de Mars was created as a citizen watchdog against the relentless mutilation of the gardens. Many constructive proposals have been made – for example, more policing, fencing off the lawns, more public lavatories, and better management of rubbish collection. Above all, instead of the wall surrounding the Eiffel Tower, gates should be constructed at access points to the Champ de Mars to control entry and impose, as at other Paris parks, strict visiting hours and closure at night.
But complaints have fallen on deaf ears at the city’s Socialist-controlled council. They know that the wealthy residents of the seventh arrondissement overwhelmingly vote for conservative parties. Politics as usual. The show must go on.
When asked, my advice to visitors is to stay away from the Champ de Mars. There is no need for a close-up look at the Eiffel Tower – and you will be in for a shock. I have learned from long experience in the City of Light that the Eiffel Tower is best viewed from a distance.

A Warning for Christians as Socialism Sweeps Across USA

More than 1,000 Democrats gathered in a black Memphis mega-church last night to hear the pastor say that Jesus was a socialist. The pastor said the Bible calls for Christians to be socialists and the audience cheered. This was a rally hosted by New Direction Christian Church in Memphis with State Rep. Justin Pearson and AOC and other members of The Squad.
The truth is that black pastors and predominantly black churches have mobilized and are engaged in the political process in Memphis and across the nation. They are committed to electing radical Democrats. Not all, mind you, but most.
That’s one of the reasons why Republicans don’t win elections in places like Memphis. They don’t realize they are not only running against the candidates, but also the black pastors.
Republican candidates are shunned by most of the white churches and white pastors across the nation, while black churches openly embrace Democrat candidates.
By and large the white church community has opted to completely avoid the cultural issues that plague our community. Instead of salt and light – they have serve a sodium-free message.
Again, not all white churches – but most.
This is not about turning your Sunday service into a political arena. But it is teaching what the Bible says about the big issues of our day. It is talking about the issues that are impacting our community and our schools and our families. It’s about teaching Christians how to vote their values at the ballot box. And it’s also about informing our elected leaders what we expect from them as Christian citizens.
I suspect many preachers and churches in the Mid-South have been bullied into silence. They are afraid of the criticism that might come by sharing what the Bible says about a culture issue.
I contend that our community has suffered because so many churches that have heavily conservative congregations have disengaged from the debate. They have opted out.
I suspect many will disagree with this philosophy – but take a long hard look at what has happened in Memphis over the past 20 decades. Take a long look at the moral rot and cultural decay.
The pastoral silence on the big issues of the day contributed in part to the city become the most dangerous and the most deadly city in America. The silence turned out a generation of children who can’t read at grade level. The silence has driven thousands of citizens to pack up and leave our city.
If only our churches had the courage of President Trump. The man saw what was happening in Memphis and immediately took action. He didn’t care what folks down at the country club were going to think. He took a stand – regardless of the cost.
I think back to the Sunday after Charlie Kirk was murdered. Many churches across the nation were filled with distraught young people searching for answers. In many cases, all they got was the pre-prepared sermon.
There is a moment to fix what is broken in our city. The answers are in the Bible. The church is the mechanism to mend hearts and families and our city.
Politics is all about narratives. On a Friday night more than 1,000 people filled a church to hear the preacher call Jesus a socialist. It was a near-standing-room-only crowd. How many of our megachurch pastors will be preaching to standing-room-only crowds on Sunday?
All that to say, it’s not about telling the congregation to vote Democrat or Republican. It’s not about black or white. This is about teaching Christians to vote their values.

Christians in many parts of India experience attacks because of the activity of their faith. Prakash and Sangeetha experienced a deep and painful loss because Hindu radicals were angry with their gospel ministry. Lavanya, Prakash and Sangeetha’s daughter, was born in 2014. It was clear from birth that she had health and developmental problems. She couldn’t move well, and her speech wasn’t developing normally.
Like most people in India, her parents were Hindu, but no prayers or rituals to the local gods improved Lavanya’s health. After an extended family member shared the gospel with Prakash, he accepted Christ and began praying with his family for Lavanya’s healing. “Slowly Lavanya started to walk,” he said. “Once she started to talk, all the village people were amazed at seeing this miracle.” After seeing his daughter healed, Prakash decided to become an evangelist.
Prakash and Lavanya visited those in need and shared the gospel. Some neighbors started to visit Prakash and Sangeetha’s home, requesting prayer and help. Lavanya was usually the first to greet the visitors, welcoming them at the door and taking their hands to lead them inside. Prakash and Lavanya would pray with the visitors, and Lavanya would also lay her hands on them. Although many were healed, they didn’t always credit God for their healing.
“In [Hindu] culture, they have many gods,” said a front-line worker. “So they think … this is just one of the gods. It’s like they are visiting one of their temples. They get healing, and they go out unchanged.”
I Want to Help
A community leader from a higher caste soon noticed the influence Prakash’s ministry was having. He told local Hindu radicals about Prakash’s Christian ministry, and they repeatedly warned him to stop telling Hindus about Christ. Still, Prakash continued his work, usually with Lavanya at his side so she could pray for people.
On Jan. 13, 2023, Prakash and Lavanya were riding home on his motorcycle when a truck came racing up behind them, ramming the motorbike off the road. Prakash suffered a head injury, a broken leg and a broken wrist. Lavanya suffered more serious issues that caused her much pain. On Feb. 27, after more than 30 days in the hospital, she passed away.
It is believed the community leader was behind the attack, but authorities refused to listen to the family’s complaints. After the attack, some villagers taunted Prakash and Sangeetha about the losses they suffered. “I tell those people that life here is not permanent,” Prakash said. “If you don’t have salvation, everything you have or want here is a mist. We are getting a better life, eternal life, and God will take us to a better place.”
A front-line worker said that many villagers who had taunted the couple have sought forgiveness, even asking to hear the gospel. Prakash and Sangeetha continue to share the gospel in their community, praying that hearts will be open to the gospel.
