I went on a solo retreat to the desert to heal my heart and soul, and under the most beautiful night sky I'd ever seen in my life, I had an epiphany.

I love music... but music is not my purpose in life.

Music is beautiful. But it can only ever be as beautiful as the things that inspire it.

And the most beautiful things, to me, are humanity and the cosmos.

I think that, through my music, I am able to convey the flawed beauty of humanity and our wonder of the stars, vast and sublime. And that music is heard by people like you - my dearest stargazers - and through that music, we can form a genuine, human, emotional connection.

That connection is the only thing that matters.

In an endless universe that is inherently meaningless, to find meaning in something so seemingly small like an interaction with a stranger feels like a miracle.

That is the reason I make music, and will continue to make music for as long as there is beauty to inspire me.
