@EzinneOfoegbu@tlcoats3 A4: I can speak more to this once I dive into the research study I'm doing with the professor I mentioned earlier!! It will be interesting to learn more about how the process was/is!
@EzinneOfoegbu@tlcoats3 A3.5: I'm really not sure...ensuring that the researcher is taking necessary steps in terms of obtaining consent and anonymity?
@EzinneOfoegbu@tlcoats3 A3: I think social media is tough in terms of trying to get IRB approval. I started working with a professor who's interested in participants' interactions in FB group. I think she had to create a private group and then participants filled out a waiver before being allowed in.
@EzinneOfoegbu@tlcoats3 Q2:I think I would use content analysis to unpack digital images students create and/or in-depth interviews if I was interested in understanding more about how students thought about/responded to the image.
@EzinneOfoegbu@tlcoats3 A1: I don't use social media or digital images in my research. Social media would likely not apply as I work with K-2 students, but I'd have to think about some ways to use digital images. Interesting to consider.
