When I was junior and couldn’t hold the best schedule, I’d pay people to take my trips, and I was grateful to be able to do so just so I could be home for important events. This was back when the job was more flexible. Flexibility is one of best perks of the job
Paris: Still recovering from the crazy 2-day commute. Slept a lot. Had dinner near the layover hotel. Treated myself to room service to help me forget the 8 hours I spent in a Motel 6.
Paris 💕 I did two things I’ve always wanted to do on this layover: I had dinner at Bofinger (soooooo good!) and finally took the Eiffel Tower boat ride. It’s so hot here (over 100 degrees) so I didn’t go out before 6:30PM.
I survived the Motel 6 in Chicago after my commuter flight from LA to NY diverted to Chicago due to bad weather in NY last night. Everything nearby was sold out and I was lucky to get the room. I went on multiple hotel apps and found a few rooms but they’d disappear before I could type in my credit card info. I feel lucky to have slept a few hours and I pray my DELAYED flight takes off and lands in time for me to get to my crashpad and get my uniform (don’t have it on me 😩) and go to work today. FYI TSA in Chicago is insane. It’s like blizzard storm kind of lines. Pray for me
Greetings from Chicago. My commuter flight to NY diverted and is now DELAYED until the morning. I got a what might be the last hotel room in town. Not too far from the airport in a sketchy part of town. Pray I don’t get murdered so I can work my flight tomorrow. ☹️✈️ I’m afraid to take off my shoes
