Once this fledgling White-tailed Kite realized I was feeding it, it was my best friend. Please don’t let your cats out, they can harass fledgling birds that naturally spend time on the ground. This guy was lucky I always have mice on hand. Taken to rehab.

Size isn't everything. When this big male Western Diamondback (right) showed up and tried to fight the smaller male (bottom left), the female (top left) dragged the little guy by the hemipenes into cover. The frustrated larger male stayed with them and continued to try.
