This week I had the pleasure of meeting with the Sparks family. Their daughter, a dedicated participant in 4-H, earned the title of Reserve Supreme Champion for her Market goat! It was a pleasure to meet her and celebrate her achievement, she represents the next generation of ag!

This highway dedication ceremony was attended by his fellow officers, family and friends, and local officials from around the community. If you travel along this part of Highway 99 you will now always be reminded of his sacrifice.
Today we honor the life and service of fallen Police Officer Harminder Grewal, who passed away while in the line of duty. In his honor, we have spent three years working on legislation to rename a section of Highway 99 near Galt as the Officer Grewal Memorial Highway.

We can all put this one in the win column. It’s for cases like these that I’ve introduced bills in the past that would do away with “early release credits” for these types of criminals. This fight isn’t over and we will keep you posted.
