This highway dedication ceremony was attended by his fellow officers, family and friends, and local officials from around the community. If you travel along this part of Highway 99 you will now always be reminded of his sacrifice.

Today we honor the life and service of fallen Police Officer Harminder Grewal, who passed away while in the line of duty.  In his honor, we have spent three years working on legislation to rename a section of Highway 99 near Galt as the Officer Grewal Memorial Highway.

The rain briefly stopped and the clouds parted for the main part of Ag Day at the State Capitol today. Farmers from all over the state brought produce, equipment, animals and everything you can imagine from the world of California agriculture. #agday
