@MarkMcGrathCFP@AMCKunneke@Wealthsimple 2/2 Likely worse, I had to borrow and pay interest to contribute Wouldn’t it be better to wait to contribute when salary and tax rate are higher? Asking for my adult children!
@MarkMcGrathCFP@AMCKunneke@Wealthsimple Many of us contributed early in our career when salary was lower and we had other deductions (e.g. child care credit). Tax rate was lower. Isn’t there an income threshold needed before contributing to RRSP so tax rate on withdrawal isn’t higher than on contribution? (1/2)
WestJet refuses to refund couple who "cancelled" a flight that WestJet already dropped
“It’s committing fraud,” Gábor Lukács alleged. “The very body that is supposed to have specialized expertise, they are turning a blind eye to this fraud.”

@WestJet So WJ on-line chat agent says “the flight status is showing cancel (sic)”. (Twice - in writing.) Except it’s not cancelled on your website or YOW departures, OR for travel companion. You just chose to bump someone. At the very least, stick to the truth.
@PurolatorHelp Shout out to the person working the desk this afternoon at Kingston depot - Grant Timmins Drive. They were pleasant, efficient and kind when I dropped off a package. A two-minute transaction that left me smiling. Great customer service.
@LoblawsON So…the idea of (frozen) PC pizza made in Italy sounds good…EXCEPT when you remember that our climate is in crisis and Canada is burning. Why would you transport pizza and ingredients (refrigerated, no less) from Italy? There are really great pizza makers in Canada.
@PierrePoilievre Have you tried to build a house on James Bay?
And while we’re on the topic, we need more people in Canada. More people will contribute to a stronger economy, more competition, etc.
@PierrePoilievre Really? So, there’s more competition in the US and a stronger supply chain for more building, economy of acale while building more homes, and you really think it should be cheaper here? Not to mention how much more accessible populous areas are in the US than remote areas here.
@cbcfifth@CBCNews IRCC has responsibility for issuing the visas and study permits in the first place. It’s too late now to say, “Oh, sorry, we made a mistake” unless they have proof that the students knew the documents were fraudulent.
