#historicalfiction/#historicalromance author, and writer of Vampire Fiction. Big fan of Scorpios and pizza. Goofball Alphas & Enemies to Lovers for the win π
@hhensell Today I told my daughter that while her friends may enjoy her copying every word and sound that comes out of their mouths, it is not my cup of tea. Those were my exact words.
You guys! I know it's been a while. It's been a long, long while. But I know I still have a few friend out there. Anyway. I wrote something new! Vampires! Can you believe it? Yep. I wrote some Vampires. In modern-day Los Angeles. Here's the link....

#WIP done. 86K words. And vampires. Yes, this devoted #historicalromance and #histfic author went and wrote a Los Angeles noir vamp novel. @lamyles2, what do you think????
What are your writing rituals? Are they the same for every book, or do you tailor them to your individual project? Doing a bit of research for a blog. Thanks!
@DebbiesStories I have four degrees in history, so I know my history, lol. That is probably why I can't read historical. And as for what works and doesn't, I just follow the same guidelines as regular fiction. Mine is just set two hundred years ago.
How many editor/writers are on here? For those of you with stakes in both, do you hire another person to edit your work? Or do you do it yourself? I myself am great at editing others, but shite at editing myself. I get manuscript blind.
@kr_wieland You can generally call people to come get skunks--Like, nice people. Not thrown them in a cage people. I've done this in San Diego. My dogs have advanced degrees in the methodology of getting themselves sprayed by skunks.
@LindenmuthWendi Honestly, the only thing that comes to mind is pizza. I realize this is a serious question, but I really, really long for pizza right now.
I decided, ahem, today that Iβm doing Nano. Iβm all signed up, my project is called Moonflower, and itβs about vampires in Los AngelesβI should totally be able to pull this off with zero prepβ¦. Right???
