Senior Bowl Day 2 - @scoutdnfl’s Notebook:

1. Mike Green has arrived

- I came into this week with Green as my #7 ranked player in the ENTIRE class. Many were skeptical, and this was only furthered by his measurements. But on day 2, Green proved me right. On his first true rep of the day, Green showcased his rare twitch/bend. But many had questions about his power. On rep 2, Green barrelled straight through Josh Conerly Jr., putting him on the ground, and ending any lingering questions. Green is a star, and I will continue to vouch for him as a top 10 player in this class.

2. Shemar Stewart really popped

- Stewart had a great day today. In the 11 v 11 period, the Texas A&M product made his mark, generating pressure and impacting the play on three straight reps. He was also a fun interview who brought authenticity and laughter. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up as a top 15 pick.

3. Donovan Ezeiruaku is dangerous

- Ezeiruaku was able to showcase his length and explosiveness in the 1v1 drills. He’s extremely twitchy and can really get after the QB. I was impressed with his game up close

4. TJ Sanders deserves more buzz

- I got to watch Sanders up close doing agility drills next to some of the other top lineman in the class. He has a really nice blend of quickness, size, and power. He’s compact and plays with a high voltage.

5. Mason Taylor is going to be a good pro

- Taylor looked smooth as a pass-catcher, beating guys in 1v1 reps, while also looking really fluid in the 11v11 period. Yet what stood out most was his blocking. Taylor was really impressive against the linebackers in this regard, showing his grit/toughness.

6. Jake Briningstool has some upside

- Briningstool has impressed me in the pass-catching drills. He’s really fluid, attacks at the catch point, and moves well in open space. He reminds me a ton of Mike Gesicki

7. Jack Bech is very intriguing

- Bech is a super unique and versatile prospect. I’ve been really impressed with his physicality and body control. He’s a hard player to comp, but his play-style reminds me a little bit of Puka

8. Devin Neal was as advertised

- I’ve been super high on Neal throughout the process, and he really looked the part today. Neal was super decisive and showed off his vision in the 11v11 period. But what impressed me most was his talent and willingness in the individual blocking period. He really held his own.

7. Another dominant day for Noel/Higgins

- The Iowa St. WR duo has really been a highlight of the Senior Bowl so far. They have consistently been getting open, making plays, and showing off their skillset. They’ve interviewed extremely well too - both super nice guys.
