Whoever played down down deeper and down from the @westburyutd dressing room during this interview shouldn't have to buy themselves another drink all season. Fucking top notch 👌
The individuals who make errors aren't to blame.
The culture of incompetence, cuts, knowledge drain and cheapest routes fostered by Clem Morfuni is the sole reason we see errors large and small with such consistency.
This. Was. Coming.

H/T @SamMorshead_
Clem Morfuni has always been adamant throughout his tenure that he, and only he, has total control of the football club.
As of today, with the appointment of two new directors at #STFC, that is no longer true.
What happens next is anyone's guess; we can only hope that all parties realise that the most important thing here is the long-term health of our 146-year-old community asset, and not the fragile egos or financial interests of those who will quickly be forgotten.
@GeorgeElek@England_Pod I agree about the behavioural side.
I've seen a lot of blame towards Wembley Stadium but having watched England elsewhere the atmosphere is just as exhibitional once the game starts.
It's all about stakes. I saw Eng v Ger in 2021 and the atmosphere was incredible yet half full.
@cal_bre @so69fangroup I'm glad you don't get to experience all of our replies and inboxes, Cal.
It's never been about football which was the point of my message really.
Highlight concerns RE: ownership when Town are 24th:
"Stop whining. It's only because we are bottom. You wouldn't be doing it if we were top."
Highlight concerns RE: ownership with Town 1st:
"Stop whining. We are top perhaps if Town were struggling I'd understand."
Hello everyone,
It's been a while hasn't it? Like all Town fans, we have been thoroughly enjoying watching Ian Holloway's side of late; long may that continue.
We're happy that @KieranMaguire has provided a minor yet important update on the progress of a potential takeover of Swindon Town on the @POF_POD podcast. It may be little in detail but it's crucial for non-#STFC-related people to put their heads above the parapet to provide information when others are not willing to do.
Clem Morfuni has said on multiple occasions that if the appropriate bids came in, he would consider them.
As is known within the wider football industry, those bids have been coming in but we understand that the already-unrealistic valuation continues to rise. This has been ongoing since the Spring, and goes some way in explaining our continued patience and reduced action, with the end justifying the means.
That patience is now wearing thin.
Refusing offers is CM's prerogative but by doing so he continues to put the future of Swindon Town at risk with the ever-increasing debt the club owes to him.
Unfortunately, the form on the field will not change that.
While it is refreshing to see Ollie build a competitive side, our major concerns remain around the off-field operation. Members of back office staff continue to leave, the club's relationship with @TrustSTFC seems as strained as ever and we still await the Advisory Board minutes from mid-August. A well-thought-out County Ground redevelopment seems as distant a dream as ever.
We urge Clem Morfuni and his minority shareholders to put Swindon Town Football Club first, above their own wants, needs and disputes.
There is nothing in this world better than the silence between a ‘go on’ and the ball hitting the net. You cannot convince me there’s anything better #stfc
There are provable inaccuracies related to @TrustSTFC within these quotes.
IH is drawing himself into stuff he isn't being accurately briefed on and it's very frustrating. Just because he's saying it, doesn't mean it's true.
I sense yet more clarification on the horizon.

I think there's been a reasonable level of concerned commentary. If it had all taken place behind the curtain, I guess no one would have cared - the game would have gone ahead, and work would have been done, just as it already has. Think it's more about the overall narrative, and how the club is more generally run
@oakleyred40 @DanWood_Adver Thanks Dave, I appreciate it.
I can absolutely see how anyone can reach such a conclusion based on what has been presented over this week.
Based on everything we know and were able to bring forward, I am comfortable that we made the right decision to raise awareness.
Great news!
Swindon Town not having the courage to communicate and engage independently with its fans during this week, amongst other things, completely validates why we took the issues public.
Looking forward to tomorrow.
Onwards!
@STFC2023 Safety is more important than whataboutery.
...but to answer your question, probably enough to keep games away from the risk of postponement.
🔸COUNTY GROUND SAFETY UPDATE🔸
🚨Swindon Borough Council have this evening confirmed that "they are working with #STFC to ensure the CG is safe for Saturday" but it is up to the club to deliver upon that. SBC have also confirmed there are some specific issues that have been raised that need to be resolved.
🚨Some remedial work has been ongoing this week.
🚨The club are refusing to comment or provide reassurances to fans, and have shown zero interest in promoting the first home game of the season. The shutters are down.
