Heritage site celebrating role of 1914 Roundhouse in development of the Blue Mountains & beyond. 20 minute steam or diesel rides. Booking preferred via website.
"March into March". We continue our 2024 public program: both our steamers passed their annual inspections with flying colours & have been in revenue service for some weeks. We're running an extra #event on Sunday 31 March: the #Easter Bunny will arrive with plenty of surprises!
In #January our #steam motive power has annual boiler inspections so the blue/white beast better known as #diesel tractor X206 returns to revenue service, hauling an 1890 built #passenger car as the 'Valley Heights Mixed'. 20 minute #ride included in admission. Book now!
It's that time of year again & the #Museum had visits from #Santa & his Elf on cue. Hundreds of excited children were entertained as the 'man in the red suit' arrived by #Steam#Tram & chatted with his guests. Plenty of 'free' photo opportunities for all!
In a #surprise accolade, the #Sydney Morning Herald @smh recently published a list "49 wonders of the #modern#world"...we made it.
Are we excited? Yes! Check it out at: https://t.co/pHt0FqUBW2
Yes. If residents or visitors look skywards they will see a large misshapen red oval with some straight lines crossing it diagonally. Should they be scared? Probably...😎
Here's 4001 at the #centenary celebration at Valley Heights Rail #Museum in 2014. It hauled a special #train from #Sydney Central for the ceremony attended by the #State#Governor, Marie Bashir and #Premier, Barry O'Farrell.
