Tengo más de 31 años cotizados, más alguno que otro trabajando sin ser dado de alta.
En esos años he tenido 4 bajas.
Dos por enfermedad y dos laborales.
Días totales de baja, 15 o 16.
En más 31 años cotizados.
Pues me cago en Abascal, Garamendi, Feijóo y en toda su puta ralea.
NEVER PAY MORE THAN 20 BUCKS FOR A COMPUTER GAME!
The phrase “Never pay more than 20 bucks for a computer game” is one of the most famous lines from the iconic Commodore Amiga game The Secret of Monkey Island (1990), the classic point-and-click adventure by Lucasfilm Games.
In the game’s ending sequence, after the main story wraps up with Guybrush Threepwood and Elaine Marley, it presents a series of “life lessons.” Choose the last one!
Guybrush suddenly breaks the fourth wall and delivers the punchline: “Never pay more than 20 bucks for a computer game.”
Elaine replies, confused: “A what?”
Guybrush: “I don’t know, I’m not sure why I said that.”
It then cuts to black and rolls credits. Hilarious to the end!
But it got me thinking about what modern console games cost these days, and how the gaming market has changed since the C64 and Amiga glory days.
Back then, if you purchased a C64 or Amiga game, you owned a physical asset. After completing it, you could sell it and recoup some of the money... or list it 30+ years later on eBay for ridiculous money.
Modern games often aren’t even physical or tangible. They’re digital downloads, filled with microtransactions and they seem to lack soul (speaking generally). The gaming industry has changed—and it’s not for the better—and it all costs a lot more than $20, for sure.
If you are still reading this, well done—because here is the question...
Which decade was the best for gaming: 70s, 80s, 90s, or 20s?
