“So they asked him, ‘What must we do to do the works God requires?’
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.’”
How often do we over burden ourselves because we think that’s what we’re “supposed” to do?? Yet here we’re told to simply believe!
“Whether or not you practice the principle of the Sabbath is a really good indicator as to whether or not you actually trust God with your life.” @jdgreear
What do we do when we don’t know where God is? Psalm 61:
1. Be transparent before God.
2. Be vulnerable with God.
3. Be confident in God.
4. Be hopeful in God.

“Jesus’ life was not defined by what he avoided; Jesus’ life was defined by what he entered into. Had Jesus merely avoided sin, none of us would be saved. We’re saved because Jesus not only avoided sin, but because he entered into suffering.” @jdgreear

“The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility comes before honor.” Proverbs 15:33
A great example of family discipleship! Not only at church, but in the car, at the table, at bed time. It happens “as you go”... so don’t get overwhelmed feeling like you have to add something else to your schedule! https://t.co/KpOAkqfbY4
Family Discipleship in the car, at meal-time, and bed-time. Our Comm team did a great job of capturing and showing what it can look like. https://t.co/pasWPBBdf3 “You won’t always get right answers, but you’re asking right questions.” @villagechurchtx
Our prayers are heard because at one point in the cross, Jesus’ prayers were ignored. His prayers were met with silence so that mine never have to be!

"Samuel did what the LORD said. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town trembled when they met him. They asked, ‘Do you come in peace?’”
Struck this morning by the reverence and fear that the town elders had for the LORD. Holy is His name! https://t.co/lgjYE5pfML
“Do not be afraid,” Samuel replied. “You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. For the sake of His great name the LORD will not reject his people, because the LORD was pleased to make you his own.”
His grace abounds!
“As Saul turned tonleave Samuel, God changed Saul’s heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day.”
Blessed are we that God is in the business of changing hearts!!!
