MindfulAI THINK TANK

MindfulAI Think Tank brings human insight, historical context, and disciplined inquiry together to understand AI—and the world it is reshaping.

The next generation of AI competition will not be decided only by who has the smartest model, but by who can turn that model into a reliable, secure, recoverable system that actually completes work. https://t.co/8nXxea3Ck1

[Elon Musk @elonmusk]

Correct.

Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be.

Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them.

Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week.

Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact.

Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia.

SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR.

That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell.

End of story.

[Arun Rao @sudoraohacker]

Going to disagree on this - OAI and Ant researchers made a decision to heavily push into cybersecurity and offense specifically, hill climbing on benchmarks like ExplitGym and Cyberbench, to create a new line of business. That caused some Chinese and open models to follow, and we’ve observed that some portion of attacks are done with frontier models.

So it’s not a “it was always going to be this way” situation-it’s an “OAI and Ant led this way” situation and you should own your role and actions (especially given the profitability of it to you). There’s a case for “we pushed the world down this bc it’s better to take pain upfront ,” but you shouldn’t pretend it was inevitable or avoid responsibility. Two frontier labs made a choice after some researchers at Berkeley built these evals - and everyone got pulled into it.

@LinusEkenstam @Kimi_Moonshot The behavior of the account Elshayib is highly suspicious. He has been continuously posting countless posts for over ten hours to attack Kimi, yet has not provided any credible evidence. It is very likely that this account is being used to maliciously attack this release.

南京を占領し多くの市民を殺害したナチスドイツを相手に日本軍は戦い、南京市民を助けたとかいう空想物語を語る橋本琴絵さんが、なんか聞いたこともない賞を受賞されたみたいですよ。

[MindfulAI THINK TANK @HEIZACKX]

Kimi is surrounded by negative reviews this time, largely because an internet influencer made moral judgments based on promotional information from unknown sources. The most ridiculous part is that this influencer is not a professional at all and doesn't even know how to program. I personally tried K3.1, and both its startup speed and reasoning speed are significantly faster than K3, and its reasoning quality is also comparable to Sol 6.1. As for comparisons with Opus 5.5, it may not quite reach that level.

[MindfulAI THINK TANK @HEIZACKX]

@elshayib_ In this AI era, faking things is too easy, so when it comes to any serious accusation, verifying the information source first is a necessary step.

[MindfulAI THINK TANK @HEIZACKX]

@HarukaKunori 認知障害があるんじゃないですか？私はずっと証拠と真実について議論してきたのに、あなたは中傷と汚い言葉しか知らず、本当に恥ずかしいです。

[MindfulAI THINK TANK @HEIZACKX]

It could be malicious rumor-mongering, or he could have been used, so I hope he can clarify the evidence.

[はるか @HarukaKunori]

bro, i checked it out for you. this guy is a chinese troll account in disguise, you really don't need to bother with him. his whole approach is the usual smear playbook you see all over the simplified chinese internet, like demanding you prove your innocence or else you're just slandering people, and acting like everyone who posts on social media is only doing it for paid traffic. in china paying for traffic is seen as totally normal, so people actually get hired to do this stuff. too bad it doesn't work like that outside china. who he replies to and the way he thinks made that super clear to me.

[MindfulAI THINK TANK @HEIZACKX]

@elshayib_ Revealing the identity of a malicious propagandist ，or spamming a serious accusation without providing evidence—I fail to see where your logical judgment lies.

[MindfulAI THINK TANK @HEIZACKX]

@elshayib_ Please provide evidence (information that may be proven, such as the sender, etc.). Accusations without evidence can only create confusion and cannot present the truth.

[MindfulAI THINK TANK @HEIZACKX]

@scottstts I asked Elshayib several times to confirm the source of the information, and he did not reply.

[MindfulAI THINK TANK @HEIZACKX]

It is actually also reasonable to suspect that Elshayib took money from Kimi's competitors—for example, those trillion-level model companies whose financial resources far exceed those of open-source model companies (there are many channels through which income can be hidden)—to be responsible for professionally smearing Kimi K3.1, as a fatal blow in the role of a "fan posing as a hater." In fact, one could look at how many posts Elshayib has made to hype this promotion of unknown origin.

[Mario Zechner @badlogicgames]

truely an end of an era. thariq is one of the nicest, most thoughtful people in the space. big loss for ant.
