Not a Nicholl finalist, but I'm pleased with a Top 50 showing for my tense family drama, THE REMNANTS.
Logline: A woman reeling from her husband's recent infidelity searches for meaning in her father's unfaithful past, on the heels of his dementia diagnosis.

Writing is the reward but it's humbling that THE REMNANTS resonated with Nicholl SF readers.

@GoIntoTheStory Scott, the content on your blog is a treasure, but your generosity and engagement in how you run it truly sets it apart. I wish I could convey the meaning it’s brought to my life. Congratulations and a sincere thank you! Onwards!
@GoIntoTheStory I’ve been struggling with this very exercise myself. As per usual, something from Scott comes along likes he’s reading my mind. Cheers!
@GoIntoTheStory I’ve preordered my copy as a Christmas gift in waiting for whoever asks me on or around December 20th what I want this year. Can’t wait to read it, Scott!
@kingsacrificer I'm no expert but it does affect pacing reading the script. Maybe you could cheat a bit. Throw "(calling over waiter)" in parentheses above the dialogue "You couldn't order...". Might help it flow better.
"Starting" late after a week spent developing my characters in a @GoIntoTheStory craft class. They're speaking to me now, so I won't be fighting this battle alone. Onward! #ZD30SCRIPT
@GoIntoTheStory Michael Clayton by Tony Gilroy:
MARTY BACH looks up from his papers. He’s seventy. It’s his name on the door. Big power. Sweet eyes. A thousand neckties. A velvet switchblade.
@BittrScrptReadr I'm terribly sorry. I lost my dad a year ago to cancer. It still hurts but I've found solace that there were no loose ends, for him as much as me, before he passed. It sounds like your dad knew full well how you felt about him. I hope you find comfort in never having to wonder.
@GoIntoTheStory Thrilled to hear that you’re well enough to return, Scott! I’ve loved the Page One series and found so much in the GITS archives the past couple of months that was new to me. What a gift you’ve given us. Cheers.
