@THEJamesWhale Emergency care and treatment continues, some docs aren't striking, there's 24/7 on-call cover. Planned or elective care/treatment may be postponed but those in immediate need still get their treatment
@THEJamesWhale I appreciate your standpoint because of your ill health however I strongly disagree. On paper our doctors may seem to earn a reasonable salary but it doesn't match the job they do. Strikes may be inconvenient and delay some treatments but there's still medical cover where needed.
@Herring1967 Waiting for hours isn't great, and is awful for a worried parent but it's important to remember that ED prioritise cases by urgency/risk. A blood test for strep isn't going to be a priority unless the person is significantly unwell. ED still did it quicker than the GP ever could.
